Here are some pictures from my 21st birthday. Keith and I spent two days at Aria at City Center. The first night I had a little dinner party with my friends at Todd English PUB (where my uncle is the bar manager). The second night we just relaxed, hung out at the pool and got the best sushi I’ve ever had at Social at Crystals; yellow tail with fried jalepeno and cilantro! All I can really say is that I had SO much fun. By far the best birthday ever. A lot more pictures below and on Keef’s flickr.

Long story short, I was anticipating my ESB being ready before Summer Fix LA, but because mine will be a newer version, there are a few things we’re still waiting on before it’s ready. Since I left for Vegas a few weeks ago and didn’t really plan for this, I was left in a pretty bad spot in terms of having a bike for L.A. However, Cinelli (especially Ben) seriously saved the day and sent me a Cinelli Mash with a trick fork. Keith and I built up the bike yesterday with the parts for my ESB and test rode it at the West Side Ride. So far I’m loving it! Keep reading for a more detailed write up.

LVFixed hosts the West Side Ride every Thursday night (meet up at R.E.I. in Boca Park at 7). It’s crazy to think how different it is now from how it was when it started three years ago. There is a completely new group of very young riders that come out to ride. It’s still a lot of fun of course, and it was great to catch up with a lot of people I hadn’t seen in a while. Sorry it took me so long to get to this; the past week has been crazy and subsequently very busy. Anyways, if you somehow haven’t yet heard, LA Brakeless held a three day bike event this past weekend called Summer Fix LA. On Saturday there was a huge fixed freestyle comp with hundreds of people in attendance and 39 competing riders (including myself!). I have to say, LA Brakeless did an amazing job with this event. The comp was so incredibly organized and just very well planned out. They really went all out for this, and it made for a seriously great time!
