I meant to post this much earlier, but Keith and I have been traveling all over the west coast which has gotten me really behind on my posts (also expect a slew of posts from my Warped Tour coverage to come, hopefully soon). Anyways, Keith took me to Disneyland for my birthday while we were in L.A. Here are a few of the photos from our day. We had a lot of fun, and rode must of the rides despite the insane lines; our favorite was definitely Indiana Jones. To no surprise, we were thoroughly exhausted after 15 straight hours of running around in the park and dealing with crazed parents who’ve hit their breaking point and have no problem running you down with their strollers. You can find the rest of the photos on Keith’s Flickr.

Get ready for a whole lot of posts featuring my coverage of last months Las Vegas date on the Vans Warped Tour. Sorry it took me so long, I literally had thousands of photos to sort through, and I’ve been traveling nonstop for the past several weeks.

At this point, I’m sure you’ve, at the very least, heard of Against Me!, a punk group from Gainesville, Florida. It was interesting finally seeing them live. They’ve been around for a while now, since the late 90′s, though I always remember them for the music video for “Don’t Lose Touch,” one of the singles off of their third album (Searching for a Former Clarity, 2005); you know, that badass and very energetic music video they filmed in reverse? Keep reading for the rest of my review, and as always, you can find more photos from their set on my Flickr.

Less Than Jake are quite well known for their sound that fuses pop punk and ska. They’ve been around for a while, and while their age definitely shows it, they still kept the energy high, and the crowd excited, entertained, and engaged throughout their set. At one point they actually brought a kid up from the pit and shaved his head into a mohawk on stage. Be sure to check out the full photo set on my Flickr.

Throughout the day, as I was rushing back and forth between the Teggart Main Stage and the Nintendo DS Stage, I repeatedly passed by the Kia Kevin Says Stage. For those who don’t know, this is the founder’s stage and features Kevin Lyman’s personal picks (hence the “Kevin Says”). Every time I passed, I simply hurriedly sped by, glancing over, ultimately choosing not to stop. It’s nothing at all against the bands playing on that stage, but I was typically on my way to catch the first three songs of a main stage performance, and didn’t feel compelled enough to stop and miss my scheduled shoot. That is, until I walked by and heard The Bots. Keep reading for my review and check out the rest of the photos here.

Relient K made their third appearance on the Vans Warped Tour this year. The Christian pop rock band from Canton, Ohio will be on for the rest of the tour, with the exception of the Orlando Florida (July 29) date. Keep reading for a few more photos, or check out all the shots from their set over on my Flickr.

These guys have been the favorites of a lot of people at Warped this year, and I can easily see why. Their unique take on new jack swing combines soul, funk, rhythm and blues, hip hop, and rock & roll, all with the energy and power of early punk. They are undoubtedly a standout band, and their sound is really a breath of fresh air amongst the typical Warped line-up. They’re on for the rest of the tour, so if you’ll be attending your city’s date, be sure to stop by the Skull Candy Stage and catch their set! You can find more photos of their performance over on my Flickr.

Moving Mountains is another one of the bands putting the work in, battling the summer heat, and staying on for the full tour. Since their inception, they’ve been very dedicated to consistently touring and getting their music out to their fans, so I suppose taking on a full summer of Warped shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. You can find MovMou playing on the Nintendo DS Stage, so if you’ll be attending your city’s date, be sure to stop by and give these guys a listen.
