Here are some of my photos of the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend checking it out. It is an incredibly cool place to grab some locally grown produce, purchase fresh seafood, or simply people watch. Left Banks Books is an independent bookstore tucked away in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. The self described “anarchist collective,” which is employee owned and operated, was founded as a non-profit in 1973. The shop carries both new and used books, and specializes in anti-authoritarian, anarchist, and radical literature. It’s a great place to step away from the Pike Place crowds and check out some rare books, posters, shirts, and other finds. Continue reading or go to my Flickr for more photos.

Everything I’ve ever heard about Velo Cult was absolutely true. For those who don’t know, Velo Cult is a bike shop located near Balboa Park in San Diego, California. This shop is seriously badass, and I can easily see why many call it the best bike in shop the country and even the world. The atmosphere of the shop if very relaxed and friendly, and the guys working there are incredibly nice. After Keith and I told them where we were from, they recalled that a guy from Nashville had been in the shop earlier that day. It happened to be our friend Richard, who’s been traveling literally all over the world with just his bike and a backpack for the past several years. We gave him a call, and while waiting for him to arrive, we were offered a cold beer, which was definitely welcomed on a particularly hot day for San Diego, and sat around chatting about traveling, riding in different cities, bike trails, and touring routes. While in L.A., Keith and I went with our friend Sean to a night screening of the cult classic and my personal favorite, The Warriors, in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The event, hosted by Cinespia, brought in hundreds of attendants, many in Warrior themed costumes, and featured a d.j. set by Cut Chemist, a photo booth, and unlimited free play on vintage pinball machines. Continue reading for more of my event recap as well as photos of both the event and the cemetery itself. You can also check out my Flickr for the full photo set.

Fido is a block away from our house, so Keith and I go here pretty often. As expected from Bongo Java RC, they have great coffee, and we always see a few friends when we stop by. Photos by Keith Gallagher

I got a new camera, and Keith has been using it to take shots of our every day happenings. So I’ll probably be posting daily photos a bit more often. Here’s a few shots of JJ’s Market and Cafe. It’s a great place to grab some coffee or have a few drinks. Check more out here.

Here are a few more photos from mine and Keith’s LA trip. Continue reading for more pictures, or check the rest of the set here.
