Tesla Rossa at 12th and Porter
Jun 2010 09

My good friend Nathan’s band, Tesla Rossa, was back in town and played a show at 12th and Porter Saturday night. Here are a few pictures from the night, they came out a little crazy.

Natural Child, Jeff the Brotherhood, and So Jazzy played at The End last Friday. The show was awesome! More photos can be found here.

Tour de Fun
Apr 2010 14

Here’s another Tour de Fun post. These are the pictures I said I would post in my write-up earlier this week. They were all taken on the Holga and you can find more here.  Keith, Skye, and I did the 40 mile ride from Nashville to Murfreesboro. It was a really fun and scenic ride. We also found a Buddhist temple. We were the first to get to MOAB for the cookout, but the area filled up fast. As I said before, this was a really well organized event (great job, Tyler!). There were hundreds of people on bikes, 22 bands playing a total of 10 house shows, and just a copious amount of fun.

Tour de Fun
Apr 2010 11

As expected, Tour de Fun was a really awesome event. Keith, Skye, and I rode the 40 miles from Nashville to Murfreesboro and got there pretty early. We started grilling out at MOAB, which soon after became crowded with well over 200 people. The first few bands played there while every one else just hung out and did some tricking. The ride started early evening, and we all rode to the first house show. For the rest of the night every one rode from house to house to hear different bands play (there were a total of 22 bands playing at 10 different houses). Continue reading for the rest of my recap, a video documenting the event, and more photos.

Tour de Fun
Apr 2010 02

My friend Tyler (aka Methdad) has organized an insane event in Murfreesboro, TN for next Saturday (April 10th): the Tour de Fun. Keith and I will definitely be there, and any one who can make it out really should; this is going to be A LOT of fun! Full line up of bands can be found here.

Bonnaroo 2010
Feb 2010 09

So the lineup for Bonnaroo 2010 is slowly being unveiled throughout the day on their mysapce page. Thus far, I’m not going to lie, it is quite disappointing. However, there are a couple interesting artists. To name a few: Punch Brothers, Ok Go, and Weezer. Honestly though, the so far released acts, as well as the leaks, give me impression that they could not come up with anything new for this year and decided to just with throw backs. I suppose time will tell.

Promising Updates: Manchester Orchestra, The National, Neon Indian

The Infinity Cat Next Big Nashville show at The End Saturday night was beyond amazing and so much fun. Heavy Cream (love you Daniel), Natural Child (you too, Seff!), and Jeff were all amazing. I got kicked in the face three different times by Cy, lost my shoe, crawled on stage, Keef found my shoe, then I got pulled back onto the crowd by Seth’s girlfriend and Daniel. Basically, it was an awesome night and my legs are covered in bruises. Here are some pictures of Natural Child and Heavy Cream (respectively) at the Rat Patrol Party at Daniel’s (the last time I saw Heavy Cream play).

Bonnaroo was unbelievably awesome. I can’t even go on to explain everything that happened (rather, I don’t feel like going into detail on every story because there are just too many). It was just way too fun and definitely one of the best weekends (four days) ever. We are definitely going again next year.
